I think the biggest thing for me is that I realized I am watching people live life instead of actually living it!
So, as for me and my house (with much opposition I'm sure) we will TURN THE TV OFF!! hahahah
"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the captives and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed. Luke 4:18

The other members of your household have taken a vote. Sponge Bob wins!
I agree. We should all turn off the TV...unless of course my 2 year old daughter is so bored and won't let me do anything and I need a babysitter...wait...did I say I wanted to turn off the TV...
ohhh, carbo, your tivo has been a blessing and yet, SUCH a curse!
I find the Tivo (or generic DVR from the cable company) tends to make us watch TV less; you aren't just turning on the TV to fill the time, you're watching some specific thing that you actively want to see. Then when it's over, you turn it off. We watch Jeopardy (it's educational!), House, The Office, The Daily Show, Grey's Anatomy, and Lost.
Which is probably still too much. Ah well.
