Saturday was Lucy's birthday. I can hardly believe that 8 years ago this precious little girl came into our lives! I am so blessed to be her mom. She is such a beautiful, smart, talented, thoughtful, giving, loving and sweet child. I can't wait to see all that God has in store for her.
To celebrate this year, on Friday she got to take 2 friends to Disney, Abby and Angie. They had such a good time. First off the bat was Space Mountain. They got to hang out with Mickey and Minnie and the step sisters from Cinderella too. Then it was off to Epcot to ride Mission Space and Soarin' (Sorry no pictures of those!). We finished out the evening in Japan dressing in Kimono's and clogs, complete with umbrellas. It was a great day. Saturday we found a fall festival where she had her face painted and got to eat fine dinning under the Golden Arches for a special birthday lunch (UGH!). Then on Sunday we celebrated with the family. She made and decorated her own cake. She got a recorder from Turkey from one Uncle (I think those nieces are going to get drums for Christmas!!) and a set of American Girl books from another Uncle (such a quiet gift!). She also got a set of princess books from Meema and Papa, and Bombom, that's great grandma, topped off all her birthday cash at $26.00.
