Nuggets

Over the last several days I feel like I have had so much wisdom poured into me!  I would love to blog about each one, but instead, I'll share just some nuggets.

-I have a choice; I can live life out of obligation or celebration.   Luke 15:28-32  "The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. (Obligation) Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'

" 'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.(Celebration) But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' "

-Who do I want to be 10 years from now?  That person must affect the choices I make today.

-Just because something is urgent doesn't mean it's important.

-You can't push your kids (or anyone else) to God.  You have to get in front of them and lead them to Him.

-In every crisis or conflict, I have a lesson to learn. Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

- 5 steps to take to refresh your soul:
1. Play
2. Reflect/remember
3. Dream
4. Rest/sleep
5. Serve

- 6 boundary rules for a wife and mom:
1. Practice the 2ND commandment.  No other idols - not hubby, not kids, not home.
2. God gives grace to the humble - BE HUMBLE!
3. Give thanks in ALL things.
4. We MUST forgive.
5. God has given me (as a woman/wife/mom) great influence. How will I use that?
6. I WILL reap what I sow.  What do I want to reap?

May you find a thought or two for your soul to feed on.
